eTwinning National Quality Label — Symbolic Language of Chemistry

The award

Symbolic Language of Chemistry received the National Quality Label from eTwinning Türkiye in 2024.

eTwinning is the European Commission’s platform for school collaboration. Partner schools from participating countries agree on a topic, plan the work together and run it inside a shared online workspace, where the planning, the division of tasks and the produced material stay on record.

How the label is decided

The National Quality Label is awarded by the national eTwinning body against published national criteria. It is an assessment of a completed project rather than a contest between teams, so it is granted to every project that meets the bar and withheld from every project that does not.

The review asks whether the partner schools collaborated in a real sense — shared decisions, shared production — rather than assembling separate contributions at the end. It asks how much of the work students carried themselves. It asks how the activities related to what is taught in class. And it asks whether the project ended with outcomes somebody outside the team can look at and use.

Scope of the recognition

The subject matter of this project sits in chemistry, as its name says. The label, however, assesses the conduct of the project — collaboration, student ownership, documentation, usable outcomes — and not the chemistry content on its own. It is listed here as evidence of process rather than of a scientific result.
