eTwinning National Quality Label — Spice Up
eTwinning Türkiye awarded the Spice Up project a National Quality Label in 2024 for its collaboration and documented outcomes.
The programme
eTwinning is the European Commission’s platform for school collaboration. Schools in participating countries register on it, form partnerships across borders and run a joint project on an agreed topic. The work happens in a shared workspace: planning notes, task assignments, student output and the finished material all stay on the platform. A project therefore leaves behind a documented record rather than a single presentation at the end.
What the National Quality Label means
The National Quality Label is granted by the national eTwinning body — here, eTwinning Türkiye. It is a review, not a ranking. No team wins it at another team’s expense; a project either meets the published national criteria or it does not.
Those criteria look at a few things in particular. Whether the partner schools genuinely worked together, rather than each producing its own section in isolation. Whether students led the work. How the activities connected to classroom subjects. And whether the project produced outcomes that can be shown to somebody outside the team and reused by them.
The record
Spice Up was reviewed against those criteria and received the National Quality Label from eTwinning Türkiye in 2024.
The label is listed here for one reason. It certifies how a piece of work was carried out — planning, division of labour, documentation, a usable result — which is the part of a collaborative project that is hardest to evidence afterwards. That habit of leaving a readable trail carries over directly into engineering work.
