TÜBİTAK 2204-A Research Projects — Regional Second Place, Psychology
Regional second place in the psychology category of the TÜBİTAK 2204-A High School Research Projects Competition in 2024.
About the competition
TÜBİTAK 2204-A is the high school research projects competition run by TÜBİTAK, the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Türkiye. It is a national programme open to secondary-school students across the country. Students submit a research project in one of several fields — among them physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, software, and psychology — and the project is evaluated on its research question, method, and the quality of the evidence behind its conclusions.
The competition runs in two stages. Projects are first assessed within a regional grouping, where shortlisted teams present their work in person to a jury. Projects ranked at the top of their regional category then advance to the national final.
The result
This entry records a regional second place in the psychology category in 2024. The project was submitted under the psychology field and evaluated against the other psychology entries in the same region.
Why it matters here
The psychology category is a different kind of work from the engineering and energy projects elsewhere in this portfolio. It calls for a research design rather than a build: a defined question, a sampling approach, an instrument, and an honest account of what the data does and does not support. Preparing a project for a TÜBİTAK jury also means writing it up in a fixed academic format and defending the method under direct questioning.
The related project entry describes the research itself in more detail.
